What is compounding?
We recognize that all patients are unique and therefore should be treated uniquely with regards to health care. Compounding affords our doctors and patients the flexibility required to meet individual needs and achieve therapeutic results that may not be met with commercial preparations.
Compounding is the art of producing medications, utilizing raw chemicals and integrating into creative dosage and delivery forms. Our pharmacists assess the chemical and physical characteristics of a drug to produce quality products that are patient-specific.

The success of compounded formulas relies on the pharmacists that oversee the preparation; our pharmacists at Valley Apothecary have gone through specialty training and are members of a highly reputable national compounding association. We utilize state of the art processes and equipment and are supplied with chemicals of the highest standards.
Your compounding pharmacist can be a wonderful resource in unique populations and situations such as: gluten-intolerance, diabetes, autism, sports medicine, dental procedures, bariatric patients, weight loss, veterinary patients, hormone-replacement etc.
Due to the customized nature of compounded preparations, please allow 2-3 business days for most medications (many raw ingredients are ordered specially for individual patients).
